Description

This is a non-personal services contract to provide onsite training and certification to members of the Fort Knox Fire Department. Training and certification will consist of Rope I/II and Confined Space I/II.��Training will consist of two courses taught over a 13 day period, Ropes Level 1 (5 days), Ropes Level II (3 days), Confine Space (5 days) classroom hours 0800-1700 hrs. The total number of individuals trained is 12.� The course must be based on NFPA 1006: Standard for Technical Rescue Professional Qualifications. The course will begin with an introduction to Technical Rescue to include rope rescue techniques. The classroom portion will include a review of equipment, knots and rope safety. Instructional events will include: establishing the need for rope rescue, use and limitation of equipment, safety aspects, anchoring systems, rescue repelling, third man rescue, lowering systems, and any addition aspects of rope rescue.� The proposed award is for certified Instructors that are accredited�through Pro Board and/or IFSAC to teach courses that will result in students being eligible to�automatically receive Pro Board and/or IFSAC certification upon successful completion of all�requirements.
