NO third party locating is required.� The contractor is required to provide station dig permits approximately 15 days in advance of work. Spraying.� The work to be performed under this contract consist of ground spraying 29 acres of the golf course with 6oz. Imazapyr and 4oz. of SFM Extra per acre.� Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform the work.� Areas that will receive work are specified on attached maps. The date shall be coordinated with the Contracting Officer. Spray operations shall be conducted during the months of August 2021 � October 2021. Spraying������������� operations shall be completed approximately 30 days in advance of tree planting. Tree Planting. �The work to be performed under this contract consists of planting 29 acres of the golf course. a.��� Planting Specifications Planting shall occur no earlier than December 1, 2021 and be completed no later than March 1, 2022. Contractor shall hand plant containerized Loblolly pine seedlings on 8�x 10�spacing or 544 trees per acre with an allowable variance of +/- 50 seedlings per acre. Seedlings must be planted at the same depth they grew in the nursery or up to 1 inch deeper. Dibble bars, container plug planters or planting shovels may be used to plant with.� Tree seedling roots must be kept moist at all times prior to planting and during the planting operation. Tree seedlings shall be firmed with mineral soil packed in and around the seedlings so they cannot be pulled out of the ground by slight tugs.� All planting slits must be closed top and bottom to prevent roots from drying out. No planting should be done when the ground is frozen or extremely dry.� An extension may be granted provided adverse weather conditions exist to the extent that additional time is deemed necessary by the Contracting Officer Representative. Do not plant seedlings in utility rights-of-way.� These locations shall be marked on the attached map by GPS coordinates. � � �b. � Quality Assurance At least 90% of the contract area must be planted correctly. The Contracting Officer Representative responsible for inspecting the work shall have the right to suspend operations at any time, pending correction of such deficiencies as improper planting, improper planting methods and inadequate care of seedlings.
