Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to issue a follow-on sole source Cost Reimbursement Order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0001920G0005 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGC). The anticipated BOA Order is for the continuation of the Triton MQ-4C Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System (UAS) Full Scale Fatigue Testing (FTA). NGC will continue to provide testing, analyzing, and documentation of the Triton lifetimes of Durability and lifetime of Damage Tolerance (DaDT) testing on a complete airframe as well as a series of Effect of Defects testing. This BOA Order is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, � Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� NGC is the sole designer, developer, and integrator of the MQ-4C Triton UAS. Accordingly, it is the only contractor for this follow-on effort with the requisite personnel, technical knowledge, and expertise to provide the requirements above within the program�s cost and schedule constraints while maintaining interoperability. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the secretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (This Notice Is Not A Request For Competitive Proposals). Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with NGC. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
