Description
PROPOSER'S DAY - Targeted Evaluation of Ionizing Radiation Exposure (TEI-REX) Program The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) will hold a virtual Proposers Day meeting on September 29, 2021 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm EDT with potential overflow into September 30, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The TEI-REX Proposers Day meeting will be used to introduce the research requirements to potential performers and provide information on program objectives. The TEI-REX Program aims to establish novel biodosimetry approaches enabling improved quantification of low-dose ionizing radiation exposures (<0.75 Gray) from minimally and non-invasive samples, while also expanding quantitative and qualitative knowledge of the exposure environment. IARPA holds Proposers Days to provide information to assist potential proposers to evaluate whether and how they might respond to the Governments research and development solicitations and to increase efficiency in proposal preparation and evaluation. The TEI-REX Proposers Day is open only to registered potential proposers, and not to the media or the general public. The meeting will be held entirely on the WebEx video conference platform, and a recorded video of the meeting will be made available to the public on the IARPA website at https://www.iarpa.gov/index.php/research-programs/tei-rex. This announcement serves as a notice of intent to fund scientific research and is issued solely for information and planning purposes. The Proposers Day meeting does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals. Meeting attendance is voluntary and is not required to propose to this, or any other solicitations (if any) associated with the TEI-REX program. IARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposers' Day. REGISTRATION INFORMATION Pre-registrationis required and closes on September 24, 2021 at 5:00 pm EDT. To register, visit https://www.iarpa.gov/index.php/research-programs/tei-rex for directions.Following registration acceptance, applicants will receive an agenda and instructions on how to participate in this virtual WebEx meeting. Two opportunities to facilitate teaming are available to registrants for the TEI-REX Proposers Day. IARPA highly encourages potential proposers to establish strong teams capable of addressing the technical challenges TEI-REX aims to overcome. The information submitted in either format will not be reviewed or considered by the government for any purpose other than review for appropriate content. 1. IARPA will make available the opportunity for appropriate registrants to present 5-minute lightning talks. These lightning talks should be seen as a mechanism to highlight technical capabilities of the presenter aligning with TEI-REX objectives. No live questions or overruns of the 5-minute presentation period will be permitted. a. All lightning talk presentations MUST be submitted to TEI-REX_ProposersDay@iarpa.gov by Friday, September 24, 2021 at 5:00pm EDT. b. An agenda of accepted lightning talks will be posted by the evening of Tuesday, September 28, 2021 and shared at the start of the TEI-REX Proposers Day. c. Presentations which do not appear to address the TEI-REX objectives or are inappropriate will not be accepted for presentation. d. Only one presenter per lightning talk per organization will be permitted, excepting professors at the same University or College. Presenters must submit their lightning talk presentation from the email associated with their registration. e. All submitted lightning talk slides will be made available for public access. f. A maximum of 40 lightning talks will be permitted for the live event. Any accepted lightning talks beyond this number will have their slides posted online for public access but no recording will be made. Lightning talks will be organized based upon their submission order. 2. As an option to facilitate teaming, potential proposers may submit a Capabilities Statement (5 pages maximum) and a completed Teaming Information Form (posted with this notice) to IARPA for possible posting on our website at https://www.iarpa.gov/index.php/research-programs/tei-rex. Deadline for these submissions is September 24, 2021 at 5:00pm EDT. This information will not be reviewed or considered by the government for any purpose other than review for appropriate content. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This meeting will include an introduction to IARPA, an overview of the program, technical challenges, and expected participation requirements. Before the Proposers Day meeting, attendees may submit comments or questions regarding TEI-REX by emailing TEI-REX_ProposersDay@iarpa.gov. IARPA will consider all input in formulating the program announcement but may not respond to all comments or questions. This Proposers' Day is intended for participants who are eligible to propose to the anticipated program. Other Government Agencies, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs), or any other similar organizations that have a special relationship with the Government, that gives them access to privileged or proprietary information, or access to Government equipment or real property, will not be eligible to submit proposals to the anticipated program nor participate as team members under proposals submitted by eligible entities. Questions concerning meeting & registration information may be sent to dni-iarpa-events@iarpa.gov. Questions regarding the anticipated program can be emailed to TEI-REX_ProposersDay@iarpa.gov.
