Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS STATEMENT OF WORK PATIENT LIFTS Preventative Maintenance/Inspection and Emergency Services 1.0 INTRODUCTION Manchester VAMC has a requirement to provide preventative maintenance and inspection services as well to provide emergency repair services for our patient ceiling lifts. This work is to be conducted by a factory authorized vendor. This scope of work is to provide these services for the specific patient lift equipment at VAMC Manchester. 2.0 BACKGROUND The Medical Center currently has 78 ARJO patient lifts in use, in various clinical areas throughout the facilities onsite and offsite locations at the CBOCs (Conway, Tilton, Portsmouth, & Somersworth). These lifts require routine annual inspections and preventative maintenance three times a year in accordance with manufacturer' as well as periodic emergency service to ensure compliance with Medical Center policies and the Joint Commission. 3.0 SCOPE The vendor shall provide preventive maintenance and inspection as well as emergency repair services. The vendor shall provide on call services to include labor costs. The vendor will be able to respond to fix issues within four (4) hours. The vendor shall supply minor parts and materials ($200 per lift per year), then a list of repairs required as a result of the inspection will be provided with a cost proposal for the repair within 24 hours to the COR. Personnel must wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to include a surgical mask. Work done under this project must comply with infection control requirements. The contractor shall receive all deliveries of materials, equipment, tools, or other goods off of station, and bring them to the job site. The Manchester VA shall not accept deliveries for project purposes. Special care will be taken to secure tools and construction equipment. 7.0 Background Information Patient Lift Inventory (Attached)
