- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories. This is a service contract for one year of preventative maintenance service (with the opportunity to extend for a second year option) for five laboratory instruments: 1) Qiagen QIAcube HT (Serial number: 5896), 2) Corbett CAS 1820 X-tractor (Serial number: A070705), 3) Perkin-Elmer Janus Platform (8 Tip with MDT Heads) (Serial number: 4207949) and P50/96 MDT disposable tip head (Perkin-Elmer item number 70243541), 4) Illumina MiSeq DNA sequencing platform (Serial number: M05569), and 5) Agilent 4200 TapeStation System (Serial number: DEDAA03514).� The service requirement is to include full support within 72 hours for all parts failures due to normal wear and tear (parts, labor, travel), one preventative maintenance visit per year (parts, labor, travel), unlimited software and firmware updates, and unlimited telephone support. Preventative maintenance includes travel to and from the site, annual inspection, re-calibration, performance verification of subassembly and electro-mechanical components, and certification that the instrument is performing to specifications. Consumables are not covered. All instruments included in this contract have been serviced within the last year.� The successful applicant must have at least 3 years of experience servicing all instruments. They must have access to the necessary parts and software updates to service all instruments. Period of Performance Base: October 1, 2021 � September 30, 2022 Option 1: October 1, 2022 � September 30, 2023 �See attached Statement of Work for more information.� �All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation has been issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued in within 24 hours of closing date and time.
