Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order with RAMPCOUSA, INC. for the purpose of procuring commodities for the upgrade of existing patient lift rail systems to constant charge capability for the Bath VA Medical Center in Bath, New York. The rail systems will be upgraded to ensure veteran patients have the mobility needed for quality care and safety. Additionally, these devices are critical in ensuring staff are not subject to unsafe conditions, due to manual lifting of patients. The requested components are compatible with the lifts currently in service. The Government intends to negotiate solely with RAMPCOUSA. INC. and award a contract under the authority of VAAR 819.7007. A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be prepared. The contract will provide for the procurement of required components and installation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339113 and the size standard is 750 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to Matthew.McDonell@va.gov and will consider responses received by 09:00 am Eastern Standard Time on September 20, 2021. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
