- The U.S. Army Office of Small Business Programs (AOSBP) will host its Small Business Seminar and Industry Matchmaking meetings during the 2021 Association of the United States Army (AUSA) annual meeting scheduled for October 11 � 13, 2021. The Small Business Seminar will take place on Tuesday, October 12 from 9:00 am � 4:00 pm at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Pl, NW, Washington, D.C, 20001 in Room 201. �Matchmaking will be conducted virtually on Wednesday, October 13 from 8:00 � 4:30 pm. The Small Business Seminar on Tuesday, October 12 features speakers and panels from across the federal government and the Department of Defense who will address contemporary issues involving the small business program. Invited speakers include the Small Business Administration Administrator, Ms. Isabella Guzman, and the Department of Defense Director for Small Business Programs, Mr. Farooq Mitha, and the Army�s acting Acquisition Executive and Senior Procurement Executive, Mr. Douglas Bush.� Panel presentations feature speakers from the Army�s SBIR/STTR Program, the Directors of Small Business Programs from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Defense Logistics Agency, and the Army�s Command Small Business Associate Directors.� Topics discussing industrial base resiliency, cybersecurity, small business innovation opportunities and the X-Tech Search, and upcoming opportunities within the Department of the Army. � Matchmaking will occur virtually on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.� Industry small business representatives can meet one-on-one with Small Business Professionals from the Department of Defense Agencies, Federal Civilian Agencies, and Prime Contractors. Each meeting will be ten (10) minutes in length with a five (5) minute break between meetings. Meetings will be conducted through a virtual, web-based platform. In order to participate in the AOSBP Seminar and/or Matchmaking, vendors must first register for the AUSA annual meeting through the AUSA link at https://meetings.ausa.org/annual/2021/register.cfm. During registration, you will be asked to identify your connection with the U.S. Army; you may use this special notice as your relationship with the Army if you do not have any other connection. You must check the radio button indicating your interest in attending the AOSBP Seminar and Matchmaking during AUSA registration because there is a secondary registration process with the AOSBP. If you do not check the radio button, you will not receive information on the secondary registration process, and you will not be able to sign up for Matchmaking. Within a few days after registering for AUSA, you will receive an email with information on how to register for Matchmaking. Small Businesses will initially be limited to scheduling three (3) Matchmaking sessions.
