Description
The Contracting Department, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Va, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price, commercial contract utilizing procedures under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, For Ship Restoration Services to restoreone (1) Admiralty style anchor, chains, and shackles that is attributed to have been used on the Civil War era sloop of war USS Constellation. This effort will last from 30 September 2021 to 1 March 2022 in support of NAVAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE COMMAND. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 9/14/2021, by downloading the documents at the BETA SAM website as follows: https://www.beta.sam.gov. DO NOT use the �submit bid� button on beta.sam to submit your quote. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 336611 � Ship Building and Repairing, the business standard size is 1250 (# of employees). All responsible sources may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of Registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
