Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division has a requirement to replace the Gas Mixing Console to mix gas for diver life support at the Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU). NEDU tests and evaluates diving, hyperbaric, and life support systems and procedures to ensure that all Department of Defense (DoD) diving equipment and procedures meet operational requirements. Contractor support is required to design, fabricate and test a tri-mix capable gas mixing console to replace the current system. The new gas mixing console will be used to mix various percentages of divers breathing gases in a ""Ready-for-use"" quality, percentage, and condition. The contractor shall design, fabricate, test, and deliver a tri-mix capable gas mixing console to be procured as a replacement to the antiquated legacy unit. The current system is facing obsolescence challenges and is no longer supportable with spare parts and components; nor is it capable of creating a tri-mix. The key requirement for the gas mixing console is to allow for on the fly mixing of up to three gasses simultaneously in an efficient ""ready-for-use"" condition via gas analyzation vs the current method utilizing a gas partial pressure technique that frequently requires repeated ""enriching or reducing"" the oxygen content of each mixed gas to correct for precise oxygen percentages. This contracting effort requires the contractor to provide the validated design, documentation, objective quality evidence, testing, and delivery of a ready to install gas mixing console which can be fixed in the existing mixing console footprint at NEDU. The contractor will be responsible for handling, storage and disposal of any hazardous materials during the performance of this contract. Email quotes to jamell.l.kilgore.civ@us.navy.mil or jamell.kilgore@navy.milno later than12 August 2021 11am Central Time. Please provide cage code and lead timeon your quotes. Late quotes will not be accepted. If shipping is notincluded in the price please provide shipping in your quote. Also please beable to invoice through Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). Please Review allattachments.
