- Amendment 1 to RFQ 36C25921Q0801 RFQ Questions/Answers as follows: Quote due date is 5:00pm MT, September 17, 2021. Submit quotes to Loretta.Schmidt@va.gov. Questions on SOW pg 1 Contractor shall provide a minimum of 8 live, interactive, two-way, video/virtual CIH and Wellness classes/services per day during business days (Monday Friday) and business hours (8am 4pm MT). Contractor shall provide a minimum of 4 live, interactive, two-way, video/virtual CIH and Wellness classes/services per day will be offered during business days (Monday- Friday) and non-business hours (4pm 8am MT). Contractor shall provide a minimum of 6 live, interactive, two-way, video/virtual CIH and Wellness classes/services per day during non-business days (Saturday and Sunday) and span a minimum of 10 hours. Question -Is the government wanting a specific number of each format per day or is it left up to the contractor to determine? ANSWER -The format should be live, interactive, two-way video/virtual CIH and Wellness classes. Question -Are the total number of classes the government is requesting is 72 per week? ANSWER - We are not requesting a total number of classes per week, rather a minimum number of classes per day. Question -Will classes be conducted on federal holidays? YES Question - If Contractor chooses to include fitness classes as part of the live, two-way, video/virtual offerings on the digital platform, Contractor will offer majority (75% or more of weekly class schedule) of classes as CIH and Wellness classes/services. Can the government clarify the 75% or more of weekly schedule? ANSWER - If the vendor is going to offer live, two-way, interactive, virtual/video that are not CIH, those classes cannot comprise greater than 25% of the weekly offerings. Sow Attachment IRest and Tai Chi Credentials Question --In reviewing the attachments for the Meditation and Tai Chi Qigong, in the fitness industry the acceptable certifications to teach these classes are: Meditation-Yoga 200 RYT and Meditation Certifications from ACE, AFAA, NAFTA, NETA, and SCW Tai Chi Qigong-in reviewing the web page that the government provided, this is not a certification rather an application that a person pays for the certificate. Once again in the industry the Tai Chi certifications are recognized in the industry are from ACE, AFAA, NAFTA, NETA, and SCW Additionally, this web page that was provided was last updated in 2010. Question - will the government recognize the certifications from the reputable fitness education companies such as ACE, AFAA, NAFTA, NETA, and SCW? ANSWER - The supporting documents provide the information regarding required certifications. The Tai Chi/Qi Gong document states the practitioner should be ATCQGA-certified. Recommended training for tai chi includes: Practice Leaders: minim um of 36 hours of in person Tai Chi/Qigong training and be working toward completing ATCQGA Tai Chi Practitioner (150 hours). Non-clinical providers: Must have 100 hours of documented Tai Chi teaching experience. Instructor: ATCQG A Tai Chi Instructor Level I (150 hours instructor training, 500 hours of Tai Chi instruction and letters of recommendation SOW C1b. Please clarify, are you asking to see all certification/credentials of all instructors in response to the RFQ? Or will this be required when the final schedule is set? ANSWER - Yes, as part of the response to the RFQ. In SOW, B2j ii: Please clarify, you want separate metrics for the Veterans and staff. Will VISN 19 provide a list of each group. How does VISN 19 plan to allow the contractor to handle the identification and classification of both groups? ANSWER - The Vendor should develop and have a method in place at the time of RFQ response for identifying Veteran vs Employee as part of the sign-up process.
