- Description
- The NIH requires a contractor to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage the NIH Childcare Subsidy Program.� In responding to this request, a contractor must demonstrate its ability to perform the following services: Efficiently and accurately receive and process applications and determine eligibility of program participants. Efficiently and accurately receive, verify eligibility, calculate and process subsidy claims. Handle all technical and administrative tasks associated with the NIH Childcare Subsidy program appropriately, effectively, and in a timely manner. Provide registration/application system accessible and operable by web-based application, email, fax and/or postal mail. Maintain confidentiality of all the information contained in childcare subsidy applications. Determine the eligibility of the NIH Federal Employee based on the guidelines given by the Agency. Determine the eligibility of the licensed/regulated childcare provider to receive Federal funds. Notify the Federal employee and the approved licensed childcare provider of the amount of the tuition assistance that each family will receive and the effective dates. Review monthly invoices for the tuition assistance amounts and provide payment to the approved childcare provider in a timely manner. Collect and provide data on all aspects of the contract in the form of monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Contacting Officer�s Representative (COR) and/or the designated alternate COR. Participate in discussions and trainings with and by the NIH Child and Family Programs manager on how to improve service. Provide consultation to customers, including program participants and potential participants. Reduce costs to the Agency by affording unused subsidies to be credited to the Agency account. The Contractor will refund NIH on an annual contract basis any unused benefits from the NIH Childcare Subsidy program.� This refund shall be issued in the form of a credit on the Contractor�s Invoice.
