Description

Army Contracting Command � Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) W56HZV-21-R-MPFL for the Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF) vehicle system Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and STS effort. The Government formerly conducted market research under W56HZVMarketSurveyMPF; however, the RFP will be issued under RFP number W56HZV-21-R-MPFL. The Government awarded two Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development contracts with Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) options. The Government intends to conduct a down select evaluation of the two awarded contracts to determine the best value offeror and award one contract to manufacture up to 96 vehicles on a Fixed Priced Incentive Firm basis, retrofit of 8 EMD prototypes to LRIP configuration, test support, and logistics products. In addition, MPF will require two years of STS level of effort and completion type efforts for engineering, technical, and logistical services to support LRIP beginning immediately at time of contract award. The total period of performance, including all LRIP options is approximately 95 months. The RFP is targeted for release on 1 October 2021. The proposals will be due approximately 60 days after the RFP is released. Contract award is targeted for 3rd quarter of FY 2022. This is a pre-solicitation notice, otherwise known as a synopsis. The solicitation pertaining to this notice will not be available for a minimum of 15 days from the date of this notice. Offerors shall not contact the Procuring Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist(s) seeking a copy of the solicitation (or other data), as the information will not be available until the solicitation is issued.
