Description
UPDATED 16 SEPTEMBER 2021: Revised solictation document FA8730-21-R-0031 attached (update to Block 9, and document made editable for offeror fill-ins); update to technical requirements in body of Description. UPDATED 13 SEPTEMBER 2021: Revised solicitation document�FA8730-21-R-0031 attached (update to Section I clauses and Section K provisions). THIS IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A separate synopsis will NOT be provided IAW FAR 5.202(a)(13) (proposed contract action not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold). The Airfield Operations Accelerator (AO-X), Hanscom AFB, is standing up an Airfield Operations (AO) testbed to help accelerate change across the AO community. The AO testbed will rapidly prototype tools and processes aimed at solving problems for the AO community. AO-X seeks a 3D printer for use in the AO testbed environment. This 3D printer will be used in a laboratory environment to support an array of different engineering projects where accuracy and tolerances of printed parts will be critical to mission success. Printed parts may be incorporated into usable prototype systems at human scale. Technical requirements for the 3D printer include: Stereolithographic (SLA) 3D printer with minimum XY resolution of 150 microns Must utilize resin cartridges as printing material Must have a minimum build volume of 13 x 7 x 11 inches Must feature printing software to optimize STL and OBJ files for the printing process Must be able to connect to a computer via Wi-Fi (NEW 16 Sep 2021) Must include all minimum components necessary for a fully-functional, stand-alone system (identify�necessary�components as separate line items if sold separately) Responses to this RFP are requested to be submitted by email to� Capt Andrew Bettinger (andrew.bettinger.1@us.af.mil) AND Mr. Perry Shoemaker (perry.shoemaker@us.af.mil) NLT 1600 EST on 20 August 2021 (early responses will be accepted).
