Description
This is�Modification 1�to the presolicitation�notice�entitled ""Exploration Extravehicular Activity Services (xEVAS)"", 80JSC021R0006,�which was posted on September 3, 2021.�You are notified of the following: The anticipated release date of the RFP has changed to no earlier than September 27, 2021. NASA/JSC�plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)�for the Exploration Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Services (xEVAS) contract(s)�for EVA�services that�provide NASA EVA capability for NASA's Human Exploration missions, including, but not limited, to support to the International Space Station and Artemis programs through 2034. The contractor(s) will be responsible for leveraging Government and/or commercial investments to provide an EVA system (space suit, associated hardware and services) for a successful demonstration in a relevant environment and initial certification for first use by NASA crew members. Additionally, the contractor(s) will be awarded task order(s) to provide recurring EVA services for ISS and/or lunar missions, including, but not limited to: use of certified suits by NASA crew members in EVAs; mission planning; support to ground operations (fitting, training, etc.); and support to real-time EVA operations. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336414, Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Manufacturing, and 1,250 employees, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP�is on or about September 20, 2021�with an anticipated offer due date of on or about October 20, 2021. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html If a solicitation is released, then it and any additional documents will be available on www.Sam.gov. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this website for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Prospective offerors are encouraged to notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. All contractual and technical questions must be submitted electronically via email to the Contracting Officer for this procurement, Chris Gaspard, at cgaspard@nasa.gov�not later than 1:00 p.m. on September 10, 2021.
