36C24421B0019 Page 1 of Page 44 of 44 Page 1 of STATEMENT OF WORK PREP WORK FOR STORAGE DRYING SYSTEM PROJECT# 693-21-108 General: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, and reports required to complete site prep for the installation of Endodry Storage and Drying System in Room N4-107 in the Sterile Processing area on the 4th floor of the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Facility. Any work determined by the COR as having a significant impact on the daily operations of the facility shall be conducted on an after-hours schedule. All work shall be performed in accordance with VA Master Specifications. All federal, state, and local code/regulations/standards shall be followed. The Endodry Storage and Drying System is a system that is already purchased by the VA. This project is for site prep only. The Endodry Storage and Drying System will be provided and installed by the manufacturer under a separate contract after site prep is completed. The scope of work does not require the contractor to install or handle the Endodry Storage and Drying System. The work will consist of installing a medical grade compressed air system to provide the required compressed air for the storage and drying system. The compressors for the compressed air system shall be installed in the 5th Floor Mechanical Room C5-81. The compressed air shall meet quality standards of ISO 8573-1:2010 class 1.2.1. Particle Size: Incoming air filtered down to <1 micron in size Moisture Content: Pressure dew point of -40 C or better required and no liquid water. Oil Content: < 0.01 mg of oil per cubic meter of compressed air (liquid, aerosol, or vapor oil For preparation within Room N4-99, there are electrical outlets and air outlets required. There shall be a total of 6 GFI/RCD protected electrical outlets and 6 air quick disconnects installed on the walls above each cabinet at a minimum height of 78.7 inches off the floor. The compressed air system shall be capable of providing air to all 6 cabinets simultaneously and have a N+1 redundancy. Each cabinet has a minimum requirement of 7 scfm to operate. The manufacturer s recommended compressors are BeaconMedaes LES20-145RD or Powerex LSE2005. Substitutes are permitted but contractor shall be responsible for confirming any substitutes meet the requirements for quality and quantity. All work on compressed air system shall be performed by ASSE certified installers. Before system is placed in service, the fully functioning system shall be inspected and certified. The above scope of work is intended to describe the project in general. The contractor shall abide by all Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) guidelines when performing this project. The contractor shall follow all federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and standards, and all work shall be performed during normal business hours 7:00AM to 4:30PM Monday to Friday excluding national holidays. The work shall be coordinated through the designated Contracting Officer s Representative (COR). Electrical: The contractor shall supply materials and labor for power connections needed for the compressors selected. The contractor shall supply materials and labor for duplex electrical connections for each cabinet.
