- PGC 03896: SHOE, MEN, ASGU (BROWN) PGC 03897: SHOE, WOMEN, ASGU (BROWN) DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles is seeking eligible leather source/suppliers for footwear items in accordance with GLPD 19022A & 19023A and the below interim changes: �3.2.1 Upper leather. The uppers shall be cut from 4 to 4-1/2-ounce corrected or full grain, chrome tanned cattlehide dress shoe leather. The color shall be Heritage Walnut 567 (see 7.8). The temper (softness) and skiving of the various cut parts shall be in accordance with good commercial practice. Tannery and shoe factory dyes/finishes applied to the leather shall be compatible with each other and shall not adversely change the uniformity of color, appearance, durability or shine ability of the shoes. The finished shoe shall be capable of being polished to a high luster with a commercial paste wax before and after normal use.� PGC 02450: SHOE, MEN, DRESS LEATHER, NAVY CERTIFIED (BLACK) PGC 02451: SHOE, WOMEN, DRESS LEATHER, NAVY CERTIFIED (BLACK) DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles is seeking eligible leather sources/suppliers for footwear items in accordance with NCTRF PD 13-98A and the below interim changes: �3.1.2Upper leather -The uppers shall be cut from 4 to 4-1/2 ounce corrected full grain, chrome tanned cattle hide dress shoe leather. The color shall be drum dyed black. brown, white or black poromeric. The temper (softness) and skiving of the various cut parts shall be in accordance with good commercial practice. Tannery and shoe factory dyes/finishes applied to the leather shall be compatible with each other and shall not adversely change the uniformity of color. appearance. durability or shine ability of the shoes. The finished shoe (for leather only) shall be capable of being polished to a high luster with a commercial paste wax before and after normal use.� DLA requires that the leather (Brown and Black) is Berry compliant but will accept information on non-Berry compliant leather that meet the requirement.� If the Berry Compliant or Non-Berry Compliant leather material that does not fully meet the requirement (any deviation), that information is to be provided and should clearly specify the deviations.�� All responsible sources/suppliers may express their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice in addition to any other information that would be applicable for determining leather material acceptability (lab results, shade and weight test, swatches, certificates of conformance, etc�) all in accordance with the above technical documents (GLPD 19022A & 19023A, NCTRF PD 13-98A).
