Description
This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 434 Repair Training Room 110. Demolition Contractor shall remove seven (7) existing comm drops in room 110 back to the nearest comm room, as indicated on drawings. Contractor shall remove seven (7) existing floor boxes and provide cover plates, as indicated on drawings. Contractor shall remove the existing thermostat from the East wall in room 110 and store for reinstallation. The contractor shall ensure all new HVAC equipment to be installed as part of this contract is compatible with the existing thermostat to be re-used as part of this contract. If discrepancies occur or a compatibility issue is realized at the site visit the Contractor shall notify USACE prior to submission of final proposal and bid. Contractor shall remove (6) existing lights (3) ceiling tiles that will be sorted for re-installation.� The six (6) lights are identified in the conceptual drawings provided as part of this construction contract that shall be re-installed. � Contractor shall disconnect existing lights from existing circuits and remove back to the nearest J-box. Contractor shall protect existing carpet during construction. Refer to the attached drawings for tentative locations to be verified during construction. Construction Contractor shall provide and install a 2�x2� carpet tile patch over the previously removed floor boxes with newly installed cover plates.� Carpet types and color to be provided as a submittal for the user to review and approve prior to commencement of installation.�� Contractor shall provide and install (1) new supply diffuser.� The diffuser shall be tied into the existing HVAC system and perform a comfort balance to the system and provide a copy of the results as a submittal to the government. All TAB (Testing and Balancing) required to ensure the new diffuser is operating correctly with regards to flow rates, velocities, draw distances, and other major HVAC considerations shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. Any instrumentation required for testing and verifying of these items is at no additional expense to the Government. � Contractor shall provide and install (9) new COMM drops in room 110, 110A and 110B.� The comm drops shall include a new 4-port face plate populated with one (1) DREN CAT 6 purple cable, one (1) NIPR CAT 6 Green cable, one (1) phone line green CAT 6 cable and one (1) pull string.� All connections must be in an J-45 jack.� Contractor shall terminate at wall port only leaving coded and labeling in the com room for 377th comm group to terminate ends of comm/data cable.� All cabling shall be tested and labeled.� Refer to the attached drawings for tentative locations to be verified during construction. Contractor shall provide and install (7) new 20A duplex wall receptacles with stainless steel cover plates.� Refer to the attached drawings for tentative locations to be verified during construction. Contractor shall provide and install new walls constructed of 3-5/8� 20 Ga. Metal studs at 16� O.C. Wall shall extend from finished floor to 8� above the existing ceiling grid. The new walls installed as part of this contract shall be braced accordingly and any drawings or Engineering required to ensure adequate bracing shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.� The contractor shall purchase and install 5/8� GYP board on each side with 3-1/2� sound attenuation batt insulation within the wall cavity. Refer to the attached drawings for tentative locations to be verified during construction. Contractor shall provide and install new 4� wall base at the base of the new walls with the color to match existing.� Contractor shall provide a submittal of the product for approval prior to installation.� Refer to the attached drawings for tentative location to be verified during construction. Contractor shall provide and install (2) new 3�-0� x 7�x0� solid core birch, factory finished doors, with new hollow metal frames, factory primed and field painted.� Contractor to submit paint as a submittal for approval.� Typical door hardware is schlage brand (or approved equal) lever lock, but will need to be submitted and approved by the government prior to purchase and installation.� Refer to the attached drawings for tentative location to be verified during construction. Contractor shall provide and install new light switch in rooms 110A and 110B along with switch cover plates to operate the re-installed lights and existing lights in rooms 110A, 100B and 110. � Contractor shall provide and install (2) wall mounted door stops for the newly installed doors in rooms 110A and 110B. Contractor shall provide and install (2) new heat detectors and tie back to the existing Alarm System Module.� Refer to the attached drawings for tentative location to be verified during construction. Contractor shall re-install (6) salvaged lights.� One each in room 110A and 110B with the reminder going in room 110.� �They shall tie into the existing light switch circuit.� Refer to the attached drawings for tentative location to be verified during construction. Contractor shall patch and paint the existing walls with color to match existing as approved in the submittal. Contractor shall re-install the (3) existing ceiling tiles and purchase an additional (3) or more as necessary to match and infill the space of the previously located lights. Contractor shall install re-located thermostat from the East wall to the South Wall in room 110, specific location is shown on the drawings and will be verified during construction. Contractor shall tape, float, texture and paint new walls with one prime coat and 2 coats of approved paint with the intent of matching the existing color. Paint color, sheen, and other pertinent properties shall match existing walls to the best of the Contractor�s ability from available materials. Contractor shall provide and install bracing at top of new wall via metal studs pinned to deck above at 45 degree angle (kickers) for structural stability. Any additional drawings, calculations, or design analysis not provided as part of this contract that is necessary to ensure adequate bracing shall be the responsibility of the Contractor at no additional expense to the Government. ��
