The intent of this notice is to inform the vendor community of the Virginia Contracting Activity (VACA) proposed contract action. This proposed procurement is for an annual on-line subscription service with which the government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Contacting Officer. VACA intends to award a sole source contract to Lexis Nexis for the acquisition of perpetual licenses for DIA employees to access Lexis Nexis in order to retrieve comprehensive on-line results related to commercial due diligence from a maximum number of sources, identify affiliations between entities and individuals in order to monitor multi-layered supply chains, access to worldwide market information including SEC filings, conduct adverse news searches. In addition, the vendor will provide24/7 customer service and application technical support as well as virtual and instructor-led training. This requirement will be for one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. All responses must be directed by e-mail to William.Buff@dodiis.mil. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
