FOREST PRODUCTS: Pine and Hardwood Timber (Lump Sum) TIME OF OPENING: 2:00 PM, Local Time DATE OF OPENING: 19 October 2021 PLACE OF OPENING: Wright Patman Project Office BID DEPOSIT: $18,000.00 for Item 1 $50,000.00 for Item 2 $6,000.00 for Item 3 $14,000.00 for Item 4 EXPIRATION DATE: 31 December 2022 A site visit(s) of each tract for sale will be held on 4 and 5 October, 2021, at 0900 AM, with inspection tour beginning at Wright Patman Lake Office. Mr. Dean Attaway, Project Forester, telephone number 903-838-8781 or cell phone number 903-276-4991, will be leading attendees to different timber sale areas and explaining harvest contract terms during these visit(s). Bidders are encouraged to attend one of these visits before bidding, as the Project Forester will be unable to conduct personalized visits for individual bidders. The timber offered for sale is located at Wright Patman Lake. The timber in Item 1 consists of 227 acres in the Bassett Creek Picnic Area located in Bowie County. This area is owned by the Government in fee simple. B. Estimate volumes are 1,258 tons of pine sawtimber, 355 tons of pine pulpwood, 889 tons of hardwood sawtimber, and 1,352 tons of hardwood pulpwood. Volume was determined by 100% tally of marked trees using Doyle Log Rule. Item 2: A. The timber offered for sale is located at Wright Patman Lake. The timber in Item 2 consists of 550 acres in the Bug-a-Lou Slough area located in Bowie County. This area is owned by the Government in fee simple. B. Estimate volumes are 1,932 tons of pine sawtimber, 672 tons of pine pulpwood, 3,949 tons of hardwood sawtimber, and 3,741 tons of hardwood pulpwood. Volume was determined by 100% tally of marked trees using Doyle Log Rule. Item 3: A. The timber offered for sale is located at Wright Patman Lake. The timber in Item 3 consists of 48 acres in the Rice Creek area located in Cass County. This area is owned by the Government in fee simple. B. Estimate volumes are 415 tons of pine sawtimber, 100 tons of pine pulpwood, 288 tons of hardwood sawtimber, and 321 tons of hardwood pulpwood. Volume was determined by 100% tally of marked trees using Doyle Log Rule. Item 4: A. The timber offered for sale is located at Lake O� The Pines. The timber in Item 4 consists of 71 acres in Johnson Creek Park located in Marion County. This area is owned by the Government in fee simple.� B. Estimate volumes are 1,961 tons of pine sawtimber, 681 tons of pine pulpwood, 54 tons of hardwood sawtimber, and 109 tons of hardwood pulpwood. Volume was determined by 100% tally of marked trees using Doyle Log Rule. C.�Harvesting operations will only be permitted after Labor Day until conditions become too wet for harvesting operations, or the end of November, whichever comes first. Submission of Bids: a. Sealed bids must be submitted on the bid form accompanying this invitation for bids and specifications of sale, or on exact copies thereof. Invitation and bid forms, or any additional information pertaining thereto, may be obtained from the District Engineer, Fort Worth District, Corps of Engineers, P.O. Box 17300, Fort Worth, Texas 76102-0300. b. Bid deposits and original bid sheets should be delivered to Mr. Dean Attaway, Project Forester, Wright Patman Project Office, Texarkana, Texas, prior to the time and date of the bid opening or hand carried to the Wright Patman Project Office the day of the opening. Bid deposits will be held until such time as the successful bidder has been selected. All bids shall be sealed in an envelope until such time as the bid opening time has occurred.
