- THE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE IS TO IDENTIFY�VENDORS WHO WOULD�BE INTERESTED IN RECEIVING A� SOLICITATION FOR THE SERVICES DESCRIBED BELOW.�IF INTERESTED PLEASE E-MAIL JOE JAROCKI AT jjarocki@fnal.gov. ALL E-MAIL RESPONSES RECEIVED WILL RECEIVE THE DETAILED SOLI ITATION VIA E-MAIL STARTING 9/30/21. Background Fermi Research Alliance, LLC has a Prime Contract No. DE-AC02-07CH11359 with the US Department of Energy to manage and operate Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. This solicitation is being issued to subcontract with a vendor to provide network cabling, equipment installation, and repair services for FRA. Fermilab Mission and Environment Fermilab�s mission is to advance the understanding of the fundamental nature of matter and energy by providing leadership and resources for qualified researchers to conduct basic research at the frontiers of high energy physics and related disciplines. Fermilab�s population includes roughly 2500 employees and subcontractors working on-site, telecommuting, or working remotely with about half being physicists, engineers, and computer professionals. Another roughly 3500 scientists and students from across the United States and around the world spend time at Fermilab to carry out research. They need support while they are at the lab and need a subset of services occasionally when they are off-site. The Fermilab Batavia job site consists of a 6800-acre campus with buildings distributed across the campus, and there are Fermilab remote locations, including in Lead, South Dakota. To support the healthy exchange of ideas, Fermilab fosters an open collaborative work culture similar to a research university. Description of Services FRA is seeking a highly qualified vendor to install network fiber and copper cabling infrastructure and occasional audio/video cabling, such as coaxial antenna cable. Work will be done under the direct supervision of FRA. Locations for this work will mostly take place at, but are not limited to, interior building spaces on the Fermilab campus. Additional locations for work are outdoor and underground tunnels and experimental halls FRA will hold a single award competition to satisfy the need for network cabling, equipment installation, and repair services for a 2-year base fixed price subcontract with (3) 1-year unilateral options years.
