- Description
- This solicitation is amended for the following purposes: 1. Provide the Government s responses to the following questions: Vendor Question - We work closely with an OEM that can support this requirement, but the timeframe allowed for quotes does not allow them to properly prepare a quote. Will the Government consider an extension and schedule a site visit so that equal offerings can be considered? Government s Response This procurement uses funding which expires on 10/01/2021, therefore it is critical that enough time remain at the close of the solicitation period to complete the necessary steps involved in the acquisition process. Considering this, only a brief extension, until Friday, 09/24/2021 at 4:00 PM Central, is authorized. Due to the abbreviated solicitation period and the fact that the VA is currently conforming to a federally mandated COVID-19 protocol, a sight visit is not feasible for this procurement. Photos of the pertaining areas are posted in an attempt to provide a better understanding of the requirement. Vendor Question - We would very much like to submit pricing however the timeframe is much shorter than typically allowed for projects of this size and type. We understand the end of the fiscal year is fast approaching but can any extension be given to the due date to allow the factory engineers to calculate pricing? The factory has also asked about an official site visit or if they could be allowed on site to correctly calculate the installation labor costs. Any accommodation that could be made will allow more accurate (and lower) pricing. Government s Response See response above. Vendor Question - Is the requested 2-year extended warranty for parts and labor for two additional years beyond the manufacturer s standard product warranty? (referenced on page 12) Government s Response - Yes, the two (2) additional years is beyond the manufacturer s standard product warranty.
