Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes � it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering Support Center, Huntsville AL (CEHNC) to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, CEHNC is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Vendors are advised that CEHNC will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party�s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor CEHNC sources for additional information. The objectives of the RFI are to provide a CONUS multi-level construction project which will require 20 bullets traps delivered in an expedited manner. Background: The Huntsville Center Range Training and Lands Program (RTLP) is looking to provide bullet traps.� Vendors are requested to respond with the criteria that closely matches the details below as well as any alternative solutions. Project Requirement: Bullet trap criteria is as follows: a.����������� Weigh less than 500lbs and be easily moveable b.����������� Have a shooting area of 40� tall by 30� wide c.������������ Support firing 7.62 and 5.56 EPR rounds, 9mm, and .45 caliber d.����������� Defeat ricochets to an angel of fire down to 20 degrees e.����������� Ensure frame is ricochet protected f.������������ Trap and contain 5000 rounds with no maintenance, 10,000 with minor maintenance, and 50,000 rounds before major maintenance or replacement g.����������� Capability of hanging trap on wall as well as mounting on a base h.����������� Modularity Additional Information: Must have the ability to provide at least 20 bullet traps in the following time frames: a.����������� 45 days b.����������� 3 months c.������������ 6 months **Ability to add ballistic material replacement for each bullet trap.
