UPDATED - Attachment ""Questions and Answers"" was added. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY ��� This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes � it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.� The RFI consist of two attachments: PWS TRONS and TRON RFI Vendor Responses.�The Government is requesting industry responses to assist the Government in developing a TRONS Acquisition Strategy.� Please submit responses in the TRONS RFI Vendor Response.xlsx file provided.� The response should be limited to 12 pages.� Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response.� This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever.� All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the United States Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the United States Government.� Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.� Acknowledgement of receipt of submitted items will not be made nor will respondents be notified of the outcome of the information received.� It is the responsibility of the potential respondents to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. 1) Please provide questions, comments, and feedback to the attached Draft PWS. Do not include your company's name in your questions and/or answers as your questions and/or answers may be released to all contractors. 2) Will your company propose on this effort? Yes or No? a) if yes: indicate if your company is a small business based upon NAICS code 541519. i) If a small business, indicate socioeconomic category. ii) If a small business, indicate if your company would be capable and intend for at least 50 percent of the amount paid by the Government for contract performance to be performed by your company and any similarly situated subcontractors (See FAR 52.219-14 (DEVIATION 2019-O0003)). 3) Does your company have a Secret Facility Clearance? Yes or No? 4) Does your company possess the ability to provide a replacement for the NRTIO SEEK II? Yes or No? a) If yes, provide names and pictures of the equipment proposed to replace the NRTIO SEEK II. b) If yes, can you provide a demonstration of your proposed NRTIO SEEK II replacement device for the Government evaluation team NLT five (5) business days after submission of your proposal? c) If yes, will you have at least two (2) proposed SEEK II replacement devices that can be used at contract award time, to meet the interoperability timeline reflected in the PWS? d) If yes, has your proposed SEEK II replacement device been through a successful Army (or other DoD) Customer Test, Operational Test or Development Test? i) If yes, please provide the type of test, test organization, and date. e) If yes, describe the following for your proposed NRTIO SEEK II replacement device: i) Computing platform and required peripheral(s) ii) Ruggedization characteristics and IP rating (if applicable) iii) Total dimensions (length X width X depth) and weight during transportation iv) Total dimensions (length X width X depth) and weight during a typical collection operation v) Collection Modalities, to include Scars, Marks, and Tattoos if capable vi) Matching Modalities vii) Match Types available: Identification (1:many) and/or Verification (1:1) viii) Ability to receive and store what sized Biometrically Enabled Watch List (BEWL) ix) Match Time on device against a BEWL of what size (this may be different than the BEWL size, above) x) Ability to search for and display BEWL identities and collected identities xi) Role-Based Access Control f) If yes, do your proposed SEEK II replacement devices operate in a disconnected environment?� Yes or No? g) If yes, describe the extent to which your SEEK II replacement devices use open-source databases?� Yes or No? h) If yes, can your SEEK II replacement devices operate on batteries only for at least six (6) hours, without the need to recharge or be plugged into an external power source? i) Describe your proposed NRTIO SEEK II replacement device�s capability to tolerate a change to the underlying compute platform (e.g., if a mobile phone is used as the compute platform, describe how a new phone size factor can be accommodated). 5) Does your company possess the ability to provide a replacement for the NRTIO Jump Kit? Yes or No? a) If yes, provide names and pictures of the equipment proposed to replace the NRTIO Jump Kit. b) If yes, can you provide a demonstration of your proposed NRTIO Jump Kit device for the Government evaluation team NLT five (5) business days after submission of your proposal? c) If yes, will you have at least two (2) proposed NRTIO Jump Kits that can be used at contract award time, to meet the interoperability timeline reflected in the PWS? d) If yes, has your proposed NRTIO Jump Kit been through a successful Army (or other DoD) Customer Test, Operational Test or Development Test? i) If yes, please provide the type of test, test organization, and date. e) If yes, describe the following for your proposed NRTIO Jump Kit: i) Computing platform and required peripheral(s) ii) Ruggedization characteristics and IP rating (if applicable) iii) Total dimensions (length X width X depth) and weight during transportation iv) Total dimensions (length X width X depth) and weight during a typical collection operation v) Collection Modalities, to include Scars, Marks, and Tattoos if capable vi) Matching Modalities vii) Match Types available: Identification (1:many) and/or Verification (1:1) viii) Ability to receive and store a Biometrically Enabled Watch List (BEWL) of what size ix) Match Time on device against a BEWL of what size (this may be different than the BEWL size, above) x) Ability to append additional documents and photographs to a collected identity xi) Ability to search for and display BEWL identities and collected identities xii) Role-Based Access Control f) If yes, do your proposed NRTIO Jump Kits operate in a disconnected environment?� Yes or No? g) If yes, describe the extent to which your proposed NRTIO Jump Kit use open-source databases? 6) If RFI question 4) and 5) are Yes: a) Describe the extent to which the software baselines for the proposed NRTIO SEEK II replacement devices and the proposed NRTIO Jump Kits have common code bases and elements. 7) Additional questions: a) Does your company have experience in making these, or similar systems, interoperable with a legacy system or database?� Yes or No? b) If yes, provide Contract Vehicle Name, and if applicable, Contact Number / Task Order� Number c) Does you firm have experience with providing support to the Government in obtaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) for these or similar systems?� Yes or No? d) Can your firm provide OEM training materials for Operators and Maintainers?� Yes or No? e) The Government intends to obtain technical and software documentation for the devices.
