- Veterans Health Affairs, Network Contracting Office 1, is issuing this Notice of Intent to Sole Source in order to identify any potential sources that have the resources and capabilities to provide ECRI subscription as described below and will not interrupt the continuum of care. This requirement is defined by an existing unit currently in use at the Boston VAMC. ALL RESPONSES TO THIS INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE ARE DUE 9/26/2021 4:00 PM EST. Statement of Work (SOW) 523-22-1-7853-0011 ECRI Subscription Purchase Introduction (Provide a brief description of what you are buying). Procurement of a continuing ECRI subscription contract to also include the Biomedical Benchmark resource link. Background (Provide any historical information necessary to understand how and why the requirement evolved and where it is headed. Include appropriate information to help the reader/contractor understand the requirement). This contract has been an instrumental part in Clincial Engineering s ability to stay abreast of and respond to medical deive safety and quality issues, better mange healthcare technology, and assists in comparisons of medical devices prior to procurement . Scope (Provide an overview of the PWS emphasizing the most important aspects of your requirement and defining the boundaries of the contractor s performance responsibilities). The ECRI subscription will provide on-line databases and consulting services that provide information for the VA VISN 1 to improve patient safety, ensure quality, manage enterprisewide medical technology risks, address healthcare technology management needs, and make safe, effective and stategic medical equipment purchase decisions. ECRI will provide a Health Devices Sourcebook that will provide a resource for North American medical device and manufacturer data. ECRI will also additionally supply the Biomedical Benchmark resource link. Applicable Directives (List all documents referenced in the next section 5.0, Performance Requirements, with which the contractor will have to comply in performance of the contract effort. ECRI will provide the following services: On-line Health Devices databases for medical device hazard and recall information, management tools, guidelines, and standards On-line Healthcare Product Comparison System searchable database, that delivers comprehensive information used to understand, compare, and make informed purchasing decisions for medical equipment. On-line Sourcebase Gold continuously updated database to locate medical products, contact suppliers, and compare prices including profiles of more than 15,500 medical companies, more than 76,500 executive contact names, and more than 66,000 trade names. Easily downloadable data files and contact information for creating mailing lists. Customized consulting via phone to address medical device hazard and recall information, management tools, guidelines, standards, and purchasing decisions Hard copy Sourcebook which is the print resource for North American medical device and manufacturer data. Deliverables (List all data required to manage or monitor contractor performance). ECRI must continue to provide a functional and accessible web-site containing all of the outlined information databases above, consulting services as described above, and hard-copy Health Devices Sourcebook to all VISN 1 VA Clinical Engineering departments, as requested.
