- Award Synopisis & Posting J&A (FAR 6.302-1): The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to awarded a 3-year sole source�contract with Microsoft Corporation on August 2, 2021 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.�� This requirement is for TSA�s Transportation Security Operations Center�s (TSOC) Real-time Analytic Platform for Incident Deterrence (RAPID) system.� Microsoft Corporation will provide Program Management, Agile Application Development and Application Operation & Maintenance Support. The RAPID system consolidates multiple data sources into one single, easy to use application.� The system enables TSA to instantly search, correlate, and analyze transportation security data from multiple stovepipe databases and applications.� The application allows TSA/TSOC incident management teams and analysts to accurately assess and respond to developing threats to our nation�s transportation system.� RAPID is a custom developed Microsoft application utilizing a phased agile development methodology.� RAPID leverages current Microsoft technologies and takes advantage of Microsoft Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings (e.g., Azure Search and Azure SQL) that utilize the latest cloud based technology capabilities at a lower cost. ============================================================================ Microsoft Synopsis The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to award a 1-year sole source bridge contract with Microsoft Corporation in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.�� This requirement is for TSA�s Transportation Security Operations Center�s (TSOC) Real-time Analytic Platform for Incident Deterrence (RAPID) system. �Microsoft Corporation will provide Program Management, Agile Application Development and Application Operation & Maintenance Support. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested vendors who may wish to seek subcontracting opportunities should contact the above named company directly.� Vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by emailing the points of contact within this pre-solicitation notice. Vendors who choose to respond, do so at no additional cost to the Government and shall indicate which requirements can be met by the vendor. This pre-solicitation notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
