- Network Contracting Office (NCO) 4, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source purchase order with large business manufacturer Cepheid under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) Soliciting from a Single Source, as no other supplies will satisfy the Agency s requirement. A copy of the approved Justification and Approval is attached to this notice. The proposed procurement is for the continuation of purchase of Brand Name Only Cepheid MRSA testing reagents and rental and service fees for the existing GeneXpert Infinity Instrumentation located at the Philadelphia, PA VA Medical Center. The purchase order will have a period of performance of 6 months and will replace the current purchase order that ends 09/30/2021. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325413 and the size standard is 1250 employees. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the marketplace for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to amanda.williams4@va.gov . Responses Due by 8:00 AM (EST) on September 27, 2021. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
