- Description
- Task Order Number W912QR17F0032 was awarded on 12 May 2017 by the Louisville District and subsequently transferred to the Savannah District on 23 August 2018 in accordance with modification P00001. This task order was issued under GSA contract GS-07F-0383V. An additional modular building was added in accordance with modification P00002. Modification P0007 extended the contract six months to include options. The base periods for both Modular Facility Two and Modular Facility One ends 30 September 2021. After exercising all remaining options, Modular Facility One will expire 31 December 2021 and Modular Facility Two will expire 30 November 2021. The Government intends to extend the additional lease (Modular Facility Two) through 31 December 2021 (an extension one month) to align the end date with Modular Facility One. The purpose of this task order is to provide temporary leased facilities at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina during the construction of the KC-46A Two Bay Hangar. The construction contract has been delayed and the temporary modular facilities are still required for displaced personnel during demolition and construction of the new aircraft maintenance hangar. Modular Facility Two is currently in use by approximately 20-30 Air Force Service Members actively working on managing the maintenance of all KC-46 aircraft. These Service members are displaced due to the demolition of the old KC-46 facility and construction of the new hangar. Any break in service would be detrimental to the displaced personnel's mission and abilty to continue current aircraft maintenance, records management, maintenance training and ultimately preclude or severely impact all flying activities for the KC-46 aircraft.
