- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular [2021-07] and through Department of Defense Acquisition Regulation Change Notice [8/30/2021]. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. PURCHASE DESCRIPTION The Maintenance Squadron (referred to as MXS) requires a crash recovery kit. This kit is comprised of a Debog extraction kit, a Belly Lift kit, and a Trailer for storing and moving the equipment. Each kits contains�several different items. All slings in both kits should be synthetic material that is approximately 10% of the weight of steel slings. Slings should have a minimum of two individual paths of fiber working together as one, must be repairable, and have less than 1% elongation at rated capacity. Slings should have an external warning indicator. Slings should be covered in heavy-duty, double-layer industrial nylon and be dual color-coded (allowing for a failing sling to be visibly noticed).
