- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), intends to negotiate on a sole source, firm-fixed-price price VISN-wide Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with Biomerieux, Inc, 100 Rodolphe Street, Durham, NC 27712-9402 (DUNS 086785110). This procurement is in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The BPA will be effective October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2026 with one (1) pre-priced one year option for renewal. This procurement is for estimated quantities of various antibodies, reagents, and consumables used to provide Identification and Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing (ID/AST) for use with existing VITEK® 2 ID/AST Systems for multiple VISN 6 Pathology Departments. The NAICS code for this requirement is 325413 and business size standard of 1,250 employees. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT announcement only. Any responsible source capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than 30 October 2021 at 1:00 PM EDST. Responses to this notice should be emailed to Matthew R. Gray at gordon.burns@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
