Description

The U.S. Army Special Operations Command-Contracting has received a request from the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS) 1st Special Warfare Training Group (1st SWTG) to cancel the current solicitation, H92239-19-R-0002, for ARSOF Training Support Services due to significant budget reductions which have resulted in extensive changes to their requirement.� These changes align with a comprehensive order to redesign the Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC) and improve the quality and nature of individual qualification training and the corresponding culmination exercises.� To further reduce cost, the requirement for a contractor-provided training facility has been removed in its totality.� Furthermore, both Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) and Headquarters, U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) have recently directed budget reductions across the Command. Due to these reductions, USASOC orchestrated a service contract review and divestiture board to determine cost savings, redundant capability expenditures, and to ensure that taxpayer dollars are aligned with current mission requirements.� Based on the aforementioned changes along with budget reductions, USASOC Contracting is cancelling this solicitation IAW FAR 15.206(e).
