- Who is the incumbent contractor? Defense Integrated Solutions Is there an in-place system for monitoring the Wi-Fi? Yes a. If so, is it Ubiquiti, also? Yes b. If in-place, is this system to be upgraded/replaced, too? Yes, the plan it to bring us into the latest and greatest. 2. Is the RFP Requirement to replace all the equipment with new hardware and software initially or only, pending a review and assessment of the eleven existing sites, replace that which is susceptible to failure It is excepted that any hardware that can t support the Ubiquiti s software and firmware will be upgraded as upgrades are evaluated. 3. Are the existing Ethernet Switches Ubiquiti brand? Yes 4. Is the PC-based wireless Controller as Ubiquiti brand? It was purchased with the Ubiquiti brand, it is a Lenovo Windows 7 PC that will need to be upgraded to the latest and greatest. 5. For clarification, all existing Wi-Fi Access Points, Controllers and Guest Network Ethernet Switches are to be replaced? Any hardware that will not support the latest software and/or firmware will be expected to be replaced. 6. Is there network rack space in telecom closets for the replacement equipment (in case additional rack space is needed)? Yes 7. Are any Floor Plans available? Yes If so, when can they be provided and do any of the plans show the locations of the network and Wi-Fi equipment? No, specific drawings of the current locations of the Wi-fi equipment. 8. Can a list of existing equipment be provided for the existing Wi-Fi network devices? A list of current existing equipment isn t available. 9. Can a list of the current ISPs be provided? Its either comcast or CenturyLink, depends on the town. 10. Can the VA provide any specific web addresses to be filtered? Not specifically, but pornography and illegal streaming/piracy sites. 11. The new Clinic on Union Blvd in Colorado Springs is in addition to the Clinic on Centennial Blvd? Yes, the Union Blvd clinic should be included. 12. Is the Contractor to provide the Primary network connection for the new Union Blvd site? The VA network is already established at the Union clinic. This will be for guest wifi, which is a separate network including connection with the ISP. 13. Please provide further description for the implement the use of cloud-based, DNS-based, security and content filtering systems . Is this in place of or in addition to a traditional route of filtering? In addition. 14.Would the VA be open to another Wi-Fi vendor for the Hardware Replacement? No, Ubiquiti has been quite reliable for the VA. 15. Can the System Administrator training be remote? Yes Can the VA provide the complete address for the new Clinic site on Union Blvd to facilitate internet access pricing? 3290 North Union Boulevard, Premier Health Plaze Suite 200, Colorado Springs, Co 80907-4921 For the new site, should the Contractor plan to quote racks/cabinets/patch panels, backup power, and the like? No, those should already be available. Regarding PWS 2.1 Support Services will the Government provide the technological footprint (e.g. how many wireless access points, how many switches, etc.) the contractor will be supporting at each location? This information is critical for offeror s to price the proposal appropriately. The government would like to stay with Ubiquiti brand for switches and WAP. This information is critical for offeror s to price the proposal appropriately. Regarding PWS 2.2.1 Addition of Guest Internet Access at Union Blvd CBOC will the Government provide a bill of material of what type of hardware that is required to be provided by the offeror? The government would like Ubiquiti brand, it is expected that a small switch and about 2 or 3 WAP will be needed. Along with the ISP and a computer to provide monitoring. Cabling will from the telcom closet and the WAP might be required. The government and the contractor will evaluate more upon award. Currently there is not enough information for offeror s to price and/or solution this requirement. If the bill of material is not available can offeror s schedule a Site Survey to establish what equipment/solution is needed for this requirement? Regarding PWS 2.3 Bandwidth Upgrade Services what is the upload speed required? Approximately 15mbps. Regarding PWS 2.3 Bandwidth Upgrade Services how many users are using the internet/network at each location on average? Alamosa CBOC Appx: 100 patients per day Jewell Clinic Appx: 500 per day Aurora Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Appx: 300 patients per day. La Junta CBOC Appx: 100 patients per day Burlington CBOC Colorado Spring CBOC: Appx: 100 patients per day Lamar CBOC Appx: 100 patients per day Colorado Springs CBOC Appx: 1000 patients per day Pueblo CBOC Appx: 200 patients per day Domiciliary Valor Point Appx: 50 patients per day Pueblo Community Living Center (CLC) Appx: 200 patients per day. Golden CBOC Appx: 500 patients per day Union BLVD Appx: 100 per day Will the government please extend the questions deadline as the solicitation only was released on 9/26?
