The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District is seeking interested sources capable of providing all labor, material, and equipment necessary to meet the requirements for the Drain 27 Wetland Restoration Native Plantings project. The Drain 27 Wetland Restoration Project will provide the mitigation required to offset wetland impacts associated with the federally constructed portion of the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan (FMM) Area Flood Risk Management Project. The FMM project is a large, multi-faceted project that will result in significant flood risk management for the project area. Drain 27 is one part of the overall FMM project. The Drain 27 Wetland Restoration Project is in Cass County near Horace, North Dakota. The site will be ready to begin planting in Spring 2023. The project work includes soil preparation, planting of custom native seed mixes, and maintenance of the native plantings for up to 5-years. Maintenance will include, but not be limited to, watering, control of invasive species, mowing, prescribed burning, and re-seeding of areas if necessary. The file Mitigation Seed Mixes.pdf has been attached for reference. It is anticipated that this project will be solicited early in 2022. All dates are tentative and for planning purposes only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project would be 115112; Soil Preparation, Planting, and Cultivating with a size standard of $8.0 Million.
