- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intends to procure and award on an Other than Full and Open Competition basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, a �Firm Fixed Price contract with Viasat Incorporated, Carlsbad, CA. The proposed contract will require 2 Multi-Functional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Mobile Racks. The systems must include the cooling unit, power unit (DC supply preprogrammed at +140 VDC), interconnecting cables and the MIC (local/remote control and monitoring) and MAC (dual channel J-Voice speaker system) in order to operate the MIDS JTRS terminal. The systems need to have a Multi-platform Integrated Controller (MIC) for MIDS that allows remote access control from the host computer to place the system on standby or cycle power and other terminal settings. The systems need to have voice capability necessary for use during events, allowing voice communication to and from the aircraft during the testing process and also have preconfigured GPS capability, which is required during time synchronizing events. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement may submit a written response which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference N6893622Q0004 and clearly show the firm's capability, background, experience, and assets necessary to meet the requirement without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability and delivery without substantial duplication of cost to the Government. The results of this Sources Sought will be utilized to identify if companies can meet the agency�s requirements.
