- 1.0 DESCRIPTION The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Non-Expendable Equipment National Program has identified the OPERATING TABLES product line as a candidate for a VA-wide (otherwise referred to as national ) single Requirements contract award. The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL) Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) on behalf of VHA is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with the FAR 10.002(b)(2)to determine the availability and technical capabilities of qualified sources. The SAC in conjunction with VHA is seeking a qualified source to manufacture AMSCO brand name or equal Case Carts on an agency wide basis.VA intends to award a Requirements Contract with Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) orders IAW FAR 16.503, Requirements Contract to a supplier of this equipment. Vendors will be required to deliver Case Carts to VA medical centers and facilities throughout the United States The period of performance is for one (1) 12-month base period with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods from the date of award. However, the Government's decision as to whether or not to continue with the contract, upon annual review, will be based upon successful performance during each previous year and continued need. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing and the associated size standard is 750 employees. The FAR Provision found at 52.204-7(b)(1) requires that All interested Offerors must be registered in SAM prior to submitting an offer or quotation. They are designed to protect the patient from excessive manipulation, trauma, and abrasion. These surgical tables are equipped with an appropriate (e.g., metal, plastic) top surface supported by a fixed pedestal or a movable swivel caster base. They are divided into three or more hinged sections (e.g., head, body, legs) and are raised and lowered by mechanical or hydraulic systems using manual or electric controls. First, the SC table below shall be included in the response to this sources-sought notice with a cross-reference column of the page number(s) identifying where that the requirement is met. Next, the vendor must clearly identify the item by brand name (if any) and make/model number. Finally, the vendor must include descriptive literature, such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the contracting officer, and clearly describe any modifications it plans to make to a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking vendors who can provide SKYTRON® brand Operating Tables as listed above or equal commodities which meet all of the following salient characteristics: SC 1 - 6 applies to the following CLINs: 0001, 0002, 0005, 0006, 0009, & 0010 SC # SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS METHOD OF EVALUATION SC 1 The Case Cart shall be constructed of stainless steel. Literature Review SC 2 The Case Cart shall be equipped with door safety seals (sealed doors). Literature Review SC 3 The Case Cart shall have swivel wheels with directional locks and brakes. Literature Review SC 4 The Case Cart shall be equipped sealed casters. Literature Review SC 5 The Case Cart shall have a predominant visual indicator to communicate clean/dirty cart status. Literature Review SC 6 The Case Cart shall be equipped with a tilted/slopped floor (pan) base.
