- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East, Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract to Olympus America Inc., 3500 Corporate Pkwy, Center Valley, PA 18034. The period of performance for contract award will be November 1, 2021 to November 30, 2021. This requirement is to provide repairs for Olympus rhino-laryngoscopes located at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx NY 10468. Service to include labor, equipment, travel, parts, and services. The Contractor is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and will provide preventative maintenance and repairs for the Olympus equipment. The Government shall maintain the right to seek proof of qualification prior to award and anytime during contract period of performance. All work shall be performed by OEM certified field service engineer authorized by Olympus America Inc to preform repairs and use only new OEM parts. Olympus America Inc is the only known provider since the equipment is proprietary and maintenance; therefore, only can be provided by Olympus America Inc. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by October 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Lynn.Krakowiak@va.gov.
