- Project Summary: The Dixie National Forest may issue Solicitation No. 1240LT22R0006 for the Yankee Meadows Campground Reconstruction � Phase 2 project on the Dixie National Forest. This is not a solicitation and in no way commits the Government to award a contract.��The Government does not intend to award a contract(s) based solely on this site visit nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred in response to this announcement.� The intent of this notice is to ensure that prospective vendors may see the areas prior to heavy snowfall and issuing the solicitation.� This solicitation is anticipated to be issued prior to March 2022.� The work anticipated under any contract resulting from the solicitation will be started as soon as conditions on -the-ground are favorable for the prosecution of work next spring/summer (estimated mid to late May). Site Visit Information: A site visit for the Yankee Meadow Campground Reconstruction Project Phase 2 will be schedule for October 25, 2021 at 1000. Those participating in the site visit must furnish their own transportation and may want to bring a lunch. Please inform the Contracting Officer Representative, James Redhouse Jr at 435-592-0644 or james.redhouse@usda.gov by noon the day before the site visit if you are planning to attend. The Yankee Meadow Campground is in the Cedar City Ranger District of the Dixie National Forest, Iron County, Utah. It is located approximately 5 miles south and 3.5 miles east of Parowan, Utah (10 miles by road, LAT 37.759043 degrees, LONG -112.758435). From Parowan, Utah take State Highway 143 toward Brian Head, Utah for approximately 3 miles to Forest Service Road 30049. Turn Left on the Bowery Creek Road (FSR 049) for approximately 6 miles to Forest Service Road 32380. Turn left for less than a mile, the campground is at the end of this road. The function of the site visit is to show the on-the-ground location of the work area, boundaries and other in-place markers, and the routes of travel that may be utilized in going to and from the work area. ACCESS: The campground is currently behind a locked gate and should be viewed on this scheduled site visit. Walk-in site visits will be allowed, but without an opportunity to ask questions, regarding the proposed project. Cedar City Ranger District maps are available at the Supervisor�s Office, located at 820 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah.
