- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-84 dated Nov 1, 2015. All responsible sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. Past performance will be considered in the selection of the awarded vendor. Scope of Work: CGC Healy PROVIDE Parts and Labor to repair damage to the MSW Piping for the #3 CFW System POP: 13-17October Location: USCG Base Boston Background: Healy has experienced a failure of the Leslie solenoid Valves for the #1 Evaporator Summary: Main Sea Water Cooling Supply pipe to CFW Cooler #3, the 8-inch diameter CuNi pipe is leaking at a steady stream due to a 1/ 16th inch pin hole near the weld seam on the flange attached to the cooler. Hole is approximately 1/4 inch from flange face connecting to plate cooler. Recommend replacement of the entire section of pipe from flange to flange - from plate cooler to before drain valve approximately 8 linear feet with one 90 deg bend. There are two threaded bungs for an inline drain valve and temp gauge. Statement of Work: CTR will provide the following: 1.����������� CTR inspect the area to determine the amount of usable metal. 2.����������� CTR will renew the affected area of piping. 3.����������� CTR will submit a CFR at the completion of work.� Required Parts from Contractor: �������������� Pipe is 8"" MSW125-038 per CGDWG WAGB 256-001 SH 5 of 6. Pipe material: Copper Nickel 90-10 Seamless MIL-T-16420K{1) Type-1 CL-200 Grade-1 Annealed as per CGDWG WAGB 256-001 SH 2 of 6. Numbers stamped on flange: B16-8""-150-CuNil0Fe, BI-1205526496. Gov.
