PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project #659-22-104 Replacing AHU multiple buildings The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1601 Brenner Ave Salisbury, NC has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision for Project 659-19-114, to pave gravel parking lots at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. General Scope: Contractor to supply all material and labor for renovation and installation of AHUs listed below, all associated demolition, trash/debris removal, parts, materials, and equipment are the responsibility of the contractors and shall be executed per division 002. All demolition shall be performed without degradation to the remaining items and structures. new ahus shall be installed per local, state, and federal code requirements. contractors shall adhere to division 001 for general requirements, safety, schedule, quality control, environmental management, shop drawings, testing, construction waste management, and sustainable construction requirements. All AHUs selected for replacement shall be designed per the VA specifications, design guide, infection control guidelines, NFPA / life safety code and NEC. All new controls for AHUs will be Siemens controls. tab must be completed on all buildings for chill water. An estimate for this work is provided for the project. the estimate includes temporary air handling units, crane services, curbs for RTUs, concrete pads for AHUs, and controls. the estimate is based on utilizing a generator whenever a temporary ahu is required the estimate includes Siemens controls and new control panels. The VA requested fire alarm updates to the workstation with all the AHU replacements. Estimated construction magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS CODE: 236220 Size Standard: $39.5 Million This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about November 1, 2021. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
