Description

NOTICE OF INTENT The 502 Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph (JBSA-Randolph), TX intends to award a sole-source purchase order with options to Astrophysics, Inc. 21481 Ferrero Pkwy, City of Industry, CA 91789 for the maintenance and inspection of an existing passenger and baggage X-Ray Machine located at JBSA-Lackland, TX.� The service will include radiation surveys and preventative and required maintenance as needed in accordance with attached work statement.� Astrophysics is the only known source capable of providing the services for this critical equipment and they do not authorize outside service companies, nor do they sell repair parts to outside agencies.� (Redacted Single Source Justification attached.) This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).� Companies or individuals who feel they can meet this requirement may submit a capability statement to the point(s) of contact identified below. This notice of intent is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers.� However, any responses received on or before 4:30 PM CT, 21 Oct 2021�will be considered.� A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.�
