- On 24 September 2021, the Naval Air Systems Command advised industry of the Government�s intent to conduct a pre-solicitation conference.� This notification, dated 14 October 2021, provides further details regarding the event and participation instructions.�� The pre-solicitation conference will be hosted on 2 November 2021 at the following address: Southern Maryland Higher Education Center 44219 Airport Road Conference Room Name: Center Hall California, MD 20619 The purpose of the pre-solicitation conference is to provide a forum for further industry feedback, as well as promoting a better understanding of the Government's requirement.� The event affords industry the opportunity to further comment on the published draft requirement documents, terms & conditions, data requirements, and suitability of proposal instructions.� In order to facilitate meaningful dialogue, interested parties are advised the Government is particularly interested in receiving insight related the questions provided in the attached Excel file titled �Pre-Solicitation Questions�. The Government anticipates the agenda of the pre-solicitation conference will include a METS general session in the morning, with check-in at 0800 and the general session commencing at 0830 Eastern, followed by one-on-one sessions.� The general session is anticipated to last one hour and will address an overview of the METS Aircraft procurement.� Subsequent to the general session, companies interested in participating as a prime contractor for the METS effort will be afforded the opportunity for a one-on-one session with the Government. Companies interested in attending the pre-solicitation conference are required to email, no later than 26 October 2021, the following Contract Specialists and Procuring Contracting Officer: Ms. Shannon Bromiley at shannon.k.bromiley.civ@us.navy.mil; with a copy to Ms. Priscilla Ibanez at priscilla.e.ibanez.civ@us.navy.mil; and Ms. ChanMee Chung at chanmee.chung.civ@us.navy.mil; and Mr. Blake A. Strickland at blake.a.strickland.civ@us.navy.mil The email should contain the name of the company, CAGE code, and the name and title of contractor attendees.� A maximum of six participants per company will be permitted.� Please use ""METS Pre-Solicitation Conference"" in the email Subject line.� If your company is requesting a specific timeframe (i.e. morning or afternoon) for the one-on-one session, all attempts will be made to accommodate the request; however, if that time is filled, the next available time will be scheduled.� If your company does not request a specific time, the Government will assign a time. Attendance may be in person or virtual.� However, please note, the virtual option is being worked.� In addition, all in-person attendees are required to abide by the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center rules. Based on the level of one-on-one participation, NAVAIR will provide the specific time and instructions for the one-on-one sessions, via email, by 28 October 2021.� Contingent upon the level of one-on-one participation, the one-on-one sessions are anticipated to be an hour to an hour and a half for each contractor. The Government does not commit to providing a response to any comment or question made in response to this announcement. The preceding information describes the entirety of this update.
