Description
The VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) at Puerto Rico has a requirement for preventive maintenance services and the five (5) year inspection certification for one (1) Hurst Deaerator System. Equipment details for the Deaerator System are as follows: Hurst Deaerator Unit: Manufactured by Hurst Boiler & Welding co., Inc., Year Built 2012 Interested vendors must indicate their socioeconomic group and if such vendor has a current GSA contract, they must indicate the contract number. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement will be 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors), and the Product Service Code (PSC) will be J045 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Plumbing, Heating, and Waste Disposal Equipment). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement with sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This is not a solicitation. If there is sufficient interest, a solicitation shall be posted on the Contract Opportunities website. Interested sources must submit the following, in order to demonstrate their ability to meet the subject requirement: Professional Engineering (PE), licensed in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Qualified Professional Inspector , in accordance with one or more of the following: A boiler inspector who has a valid commission from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. A boiler inspector who has qualified by passing a written examination under the laws, rules, and regulations of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. A boiler inspector who is regularly employed as such by a jurisdiction that has adopted and administers one or more sections of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code as a legal requirement, and has a representative serving as a member of the ASME Conference Committee. A boiler inspector who is regularly employed by an insurance company that has been licensed or registered by the appropriate authority of a state of the United States to write boiler and pressure vessel insurance. Technicians with at least five (5) years of successful experience in the field of boilers and its associated equipment. Interest/capability statements and the aforementioned information shall be submitted to Wilfredo Perez via e-mail at wilfredo.perez3@va.gov by October 22, 2021 at 3:00 PM Atlantic Standard Time (AST). Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Please provide the following information as an attachment to your response: 1. Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services under the same or a related NAICS codes. 2. Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services that are registered under the same or a related NAICS code with the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE); Provide the certification type (SDVOSB/VOSB), Federal Identification Number, and state of incorporation for each. 3. Do you plan on responding to a solicitation for this requirement with a Joint Venture utilizing multiple owned companies as majority or non-majority owner? Yes ___No ___ If yes, please identify which companies are considering a Joint Venture and the ownership of each company.
