- This Request for Information (RFI) is being published for purposes of market research (FAR Part 10) to determine if there are any Diver Propulsion Devices (DPD) in the marketplace that meet the requirements as described below. Formal proposals from industry are not being requested or accepted at this time. Information received from this RFI notification will be used to ascertain potential market capability and determine the acquisition strategy (ex. Full and open/small business set-aside, etc.).� The Government�s intent is to release a Request for Proposal (RFP), which will be posted on the beta.sam.gov website after finalization of the acquisition strategy.� There is no solicitation at this time. This RFI does not constitute a RFP; submission of any information in response to this RFI is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred; and it shall not be construed as any commitment by the Government to execute this requirement.� Specifications: The Diver Propulsion Device (DPD) shall meet all of the following criteria: The DPD shall operate �hands-free� The DPD shall be compatible with a closed-circuit Underwater Breathing Apparatus (UBA) The DPD shall be listed on NAVSEA�s Authorized for Navy Use (ANU) list. The DPD shall have received Naval Sea Systems Command authorization for SOF carry-on hardware on USN Deep Submergible Systems and Submarines Submission requirements: Provide Company name, CAGE, full Point of Contact (POC) information, and business status (SB, Large Corp, etc..) under NAICS 339920. Provide information verifying the DPD meets all four (4) specifications as detailed above. This should include data and product specification information, NAVSEA ANU validation, and Naval Sea Systems Command authorization letter. Information on whether your company has provided this DPD to other Government organizations, specifying contract number and point of contact. The Government will evaluate responses to this RFI to ascertain potential market capability. Solely expressing interest will not be considered as evidence of business capabilities. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this announcement and it reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this announcement. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to fulfill the above-listed requirement are invited to submit a response to this RFI Notice as identified herein no later than 22 October 2021 1:00 PM PST via e-mail to Pamela Sons at pamela.h.sons.civ@socom.mil.
