- NOTICE OF INTENT THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.� A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Norfolk District, intends to procure design support services as part of a design-build construction project on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) with Alpha Corporation, 21000 Atlantic Boulevard, Suite 400 Dulles, VA 20166.� The contract contemplated will provide design, construction, and support services in support of Memorial Avenue Pylon project located at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC).� The project will provide pylon stabilization at the entrance of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC).� The period of performance shall be approximately 390 calendar days. It is the intent of the Government to utilize Alpha Corporation to update the design documents and to provide post award construction services to the prime contractor.� The work shall be completed in accordance with the Unified Design Criteria, USACE�s design guide, and integration of the geographic conditions and site constraints.� As DOR, Alpha Corporation previously developed both the design intent and the detailed plans and specifications for the Memorial Avenue Pylon Project, Arlington, VA in 2017. This Notice of Intent is hereby published in accordance with FAR 5.201.�� A determination by the Government not to compete the elements of the project listed in the table above based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals; however, it any interested party believes that they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a capability statement to the point of contact listed in this Special Notice.� All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow USACE to be able to determine if the interested party can perform the requirement described herein. The Norfolk District will consider any responses to this notice received within 15 calendar days of the posting of this notice.
