Contract Number: SP3300-22-P-0025 Notice Type: Notice of intent to Sole Source Synopsis: The proposed contract action is for an acquisition for which the Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland, PA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for Fire Alerting System Equipment and installation.� The equipment will be utilized to expand the existing fire alerting system located in Building 911 at DLA Distribution Susquehanna due to the expansion of the building. AUTOMATED PROTECTION SYSTEMS, INC. (APS) is the only source that can provide this equipment due to the proprietary nature of the design, hardware, software and licensing. Additionally, the existing equipment is APS equipment. The introduction of another brand of equipment will not be compatible with the existing equipment and require the introduction of a new operating software at additional cost.� Any attempt to develop an alternate source to provide this system, if possible, would result in a substantial cost to the Government.� Accordingly, the Government intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order (FFP) utilizing FAR Part 12 and 13.5 to AUTOMATED PROTECTION SYSTEMS, INC. for the required equipment and installation. Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.� A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The delivery date will be 90 days after receipt of the order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 561621 with a small business size standard of $22,000,000.00. All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities of the company to provide the APS equipment and installation by 4:00 PM EDT, FRIDAY, AUGUST 14, 2009 to Carl Devitz, Acquisition Operations, DDC J7-AB, 430 Mifflin St, New Cumberland, PA 17070, Phone:� 717-770-2891 or e-mail:� carl.devitz@dla.mil for consideration by the agency.� If no affirmative responses are received by 4:00 PM EDT, MONDAY, November 1, 2021 to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to AUTOMATED PROTECTION SYSTEMS, INC.
