Description
Solicitation will be canceled immediately October 26, 2021@ 1:42 pm est for the following reasons without making an award: The intent to standardize all Dental X-Ray equipment throughout Atlanta VAMC to include all of their CBOCs; perhaps put the number of CBOCs under Atlanta VAMC Current Part Inventory consist of only Brand Name X-Ray equipment. Economic/standardization impacts; to include simplify storage levels and tracking If possible show the negative cost impact of using different brands of equipment and the negative training impacts when dental personnel are relocated to other facilities due to personnel shortages. PlanMeca supports the Dental Lab functions for milling and printing and Implant Diagnosis and treatment planning. Currently there are several Plan Meca x-ray units in our clinics and the staff is familiar with the operation and support program, decreasing errors and need for additional training for all staff to lean a new system. Due to schedule changes Dental staff have to be reassigned to different offices constantly. Standardizing the x-ray system with PlanMeca allows any Dental staff member to work at any location creating continuity of care. BioMed is familiar with the system and has been able to repair the system when needed decreasing the amount of training needed to repair or provide maintenance for the system when needed. Standardizing the system across all Atlanta Dental clinics will require less inventory for repair parts to be maintained for BioMed, less space and less money.
