INDUSTRY DAY - Chief Joseph Dam - Rewinds Units 1-16 LOCATION: USACE � Chief Joseph Dam Highway 17 and Pearl Hill Road Bridgeport, WA 98813-1120 DATE: November 9th, 2021 TIME: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM The United States Army Corps of Engineers - Seattle District (NWS) is hosting an Industry Day on November 9, 2021 to provide additional information on an upcoming requirement for a large civil works project valued between the construction magnitude of $100M to $250M to rehabilitate the rewinds on 16 units. The Industry Day will provide the only opportunity for a site visit to get an overview of the Chief Joseph Dam (CJD) facility as well as a partially disassembled unit. Due to COVID restrictions and unit outages, another partially disassembled unit will not be available for viewing during the bidding period. Please advise the Contracting Officer, Ellie McNeely (lisa.j.mcneely@usace.army.mil), the Contract Specialist, Monique Paano (monique.a.paano@usace.army.mil), and Project Manager Adrienne Murphy (Adrienne.e.murphy@usace.army.mil) of your plan to attend the Industry Day no later than 2 November 2021 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time. Late respondents or those not pre-registered will not be granted access to the site. Additionally, please respond to the questions provided in the attached document titled: ""CJD Rewinds RSVP Questionnaire"". All Industry Day attendees may submit answers to the questions via e-mail. Answers may also be provided to the Government point of contact via e-mail prior to the Industry Day. ATTENDING THE INDUSTRY DAY IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SINCE IT IS UNLIKELY THAT AN ADDITIONAL SITE VISIT WILL BE OFFERED. The industry day is open to the vendor community of prime contractors and significant subcontractors who plan to submit a proposal on the work described in the draft specifications. The Industry Day Event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Chief Joseph Dam, Highway 17 and Pearl Hill Road Bridgeport, WA 98813-1120 DUE TO COVID ONLY TWO (2) PERSONNEL PER COMPANY MAY ATTEND THE INDUSTRY DAY. USACE REQUESTS THAT ONLY CONTRACTORS PREPARED TO PROVIDE A PROPOSAL FOR THE SOLICITATION ATTEND THE INDUSTRY DAY. If you are a significant subcontractor, you must indicate in your RSVP questionnaire response, what firm you are partnering with to bid the work to gain access to the site.�� Please ensure you bring your official Government picture identification to present to Security to gain entry to the site and powerhouse. Required personal protective equipment for the site visit includes face masks, hard hat, safety vest and boots/safety shoes. If you attend and do not have all of the required documents or equipment, you will not be granted access to the site. In-processing begins for all Vendors at the main entrance. When you approach the guard shack, you will be required to present photo identification and state that you are attending the �CJD Rewinds Industry Day at the Commons building�. Your name will be checked against the pre-registered list of attendees and you will then be directed to drive to the Commons Building where you will park your vehicle for the entirety of the site visit. CJD and Construction staff will inspect your safety gear and provide directions for safety during the site visit. CJD and Construction staff will guide small groups on the site visit to comply with COVID guidelines. Small groups will be shuttled to and from the powerhouse in Government vehicles since there is limited parking.
