Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole source award to Teledyne FLIR LLC. UAS, 7055 Troy Hill Drive, Elkridge, MD 21043 for the following tether kit: ITEM DESCRIPTION 0001 SkyWatch Tether Kit-9nnMHZ � North America R80-001069 The tether kit listed above is the only authorized tether for use with the previously acquired Teledyne FLIR R80D SkyRaider, which is what the tether is being acquire to interface with. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the requirement in writing to jason.wilburn.2@us.af.mil no later than 0800 hours CST, Wednesday, 3 November 2021. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. No request for proposals or quotes will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
