- Sources Sought Notice Project Title: FY22 USACE Nashville District Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) NAICS: 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, Size Standard $39.5M THIS NOTICE IS BEING POSTED FOR THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, NASHVILLE DISTRICT. THIS MATOC IS 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE FOR CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS LOCATED IN SBA REGION IV SOUTHEAST, WHICH CONSISTS OF TENNESSEE, KENTUCKY, ALABAMA, FLORIDA, NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, GEORGIA, VIRGINIA, AND MISSISSIPPI. ONLY ONE RESPONSE IS REQUESTED PER FIRM. THIS IS A NOTICE FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY.� THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR BID. THERE IS NO BID PACKAGE, SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATION OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE WITH THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A PROCUREMENT COMMITMENT BY USACE, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. RESPONSE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY; NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR OR SUFFER ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR IMPROPER IDENTIFIED INFORMATION. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to gain knowledge of interested, capable, and qualified small businesses in Region IV (Southeast), including, but not limited to Small Business, 8(a) Small Business Development Program, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, HUBZone, Women-Owned Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this work is 237990; Size Standard $39.5 million. It is the intent of USACE Nashville District to award several MATOCs to establish a diverse pool of contractors to cover the region. The actual number of MATOCs, minimum and maximum task order/contract size, and socio-economic set-asides for the resulting contracts will be determined after the completion of market research, which includes an analysis of the sources sought capabilities statements received. This work consists of construction (Design/Build or Design/Bid/Build) as well as items incidental to the completion of the construction. USACE projects include flood control, navigation, hydropower, recreation, and ecosystem restoration.� USACE work to be performed by use of the IDIQ MATOC contract will typically be repairs, maintenance, and improvements to existing flood control structures, channels, earthen embankments, rivers, and tributaries.� Examples of possible work on flood control structures include slope repairs, erosion protection, and improvements or restoration of roadways or accesses.� Channel work might include excavation, widening, erosion control features, drainage improvements and bank stabilization with armor stone, articulated concrete blocks, bioengineering, foreshore dikes, and / or retaining walls, and may involve repairs or replacement of utilities.� Projects in support of local municipalities are of a similar nature to USACE projects especially pertaining to flood control and ecosystem restoration.� Projects in support of other Federal agencies such as the NPS might include stream bank stabilization with geotextile fabric and armor stone. The estimated award date for these contracts is 2nd quarter of FY22.
