Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback with regards to its submission. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The US Forest Service is not seeking proposals or quotes at this time. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay any costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. Response to this RFI will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this RFI are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to response to this RFI. 2.0 SUBJECT: The US Forest Service�s Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) Incident Blanket Purchase Agreement (IBPA) program is scheduled to solicit the Heavy Equipment with Water category during this upcoming solicitation cycle and award agreements on approximately June 1, 2022. As a part of this upcoming solicitation the Forest Service VIPR IBPA program is seeking responses to determine the capability of the market to provide Heavy Equipment with Water (**Skidgine Category Only**) dispatched from Northern California Operations (CA-ONCC) dispatch location in Redding CA. VIPR IBPA agreement clauses state that, �awards may not be made to vendors designating resource City and State location more than 450 miles away from their selected Dispatch Center�. 3.0 RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS: Interested vendors are asked to respond to this RFI by email with the following information: Describe your company�s capacity for providing Heavy Equipment w/Water services dispatched from Redding CA. To include only the following resource equipment type, Skidegine Type �1,2,3,4�. List any and all socioeconomic categories that apply to your company, such as Small Business; Hubzone Small Business; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business� 4.0 CONTACT INFORMATION: All Information regarding Capabilities Statements or any other proprietary information relative to this RFI shall be submitted via email to craig.ericson@usda.gov no later than 30 November 2021, NLT 14:00 PST. 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes. (OCT 1997) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Although �proposal� and �offeror� are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. This solicitation is issued for the purpose of: seeking information from commercial vendors that are capable of providing Heavy Equipment with Water (Skidgines) services dispatched from USFS Region 5 (R5) for use on a local, Regional and Nationwide basis.
